My Green Cities, LLC is hybrid social enterprise/social movement.  We design programs that combine sustainability, buying locally, social awareness issues and community building with the goal of helping you "choose your world wisely."  With our first project, we match consumers and independent businesses on issues of sustainability and social awareness, providing resources for a more conscientious lifestyle, partnering with community groups and giving small business owners effective tools to communicate their good business practices to the community.  

We believe that how we spend our money is one of the most powerful tools we have at our disposal.  Communities can remain vibrant and economically viable only if consumers are informed and make the decision to support the businesses that keep them that way. Transparency and dialogue are key elements of our approach.

Need a great dry cleaner who doesn’t use PERC?  A coffee shop that serves fair trade coffee or a law firm that helps working moms balance their busy schedules with flex time?  It is our goal to help you find them locally - no matter where you are (yep, even on vacation)!  The choice is yours.  From simply avoiding big box stores to finding businesses near bike paths that take alternative currency - you will have the information and the tools you need to spend your hard earned money according to YOUR values and interests! We feel that businesses that make the time, effort and financial commitment to sustainable and socially aware practices should be rewarded with what they need most - our business!  To help with that, we’ve designed the MGC searchable, filterable database specifically to allow the most sustainable businesses to receive the most exposure.
